YOGA

CHAKRAS

NONVIOLENCE

NOSTRILS – IDA/PINGALA

When the air enters the sun, it is the proper time for the Yogi to take his food (i.e., when the breath flows through the right nostril or Pingala); when the air enters the moon, he should go to sleep (when the breath flows through the left nostril or the Ida).

The syllable “ha” means the sun and the syllable “tha” means the moon.  The right nostril is called the fiery flow energy channel or the sun channel and the left nostril is called the cooling flow energy channel or the moon channel.

PRANAYAMA

Pranayama is the soul of yoga. 

Pranayama is the king of all exercises.

Prana is the link between the soul and the physical body.

The one most useful to all is called anuloma viloma pranayama.
